Glitter Doodle Freebies

These are the freebies that were posted temporarily about a month ago...LOL. I've just gotten around to re-posting the CORRECT file for these. (I had an inadvertant reminder early this afternoon!)

If you downloaded the other file, please delete that one and use this one instead. The other file contained items that should not have been posted.

NOTE to SELF: Check files AT LEAST 3 times before uploading! LOL!

Heart Necklace Freebies

Hello all! I hope everyone had a very enjoyable and relaxing weekend. Mine was enjoyable, but a long way from relaxing! Hubby and I were the hosts of TWO surprise parties over the weekend. One for his mother, and one for my grandfather. It was fun, but lots of work.

I've made a freebie for you using my new Heart Necklace Script. The freebie includes all of the items shown in the preview above, except the red one. That one got lost when the power went out...LOL. You can grab them HERE on 4shared, and you can find the script in any of my stores.

The freebies are for personal use only, but the script is commercial-use OK! It will work in PSP version 9 - X2 and allows you to choose your own colors for both the heart and the chain! Another awesome script just in time for Valentine's Day! You can find the script at Memory Junkies, Commercial-use, and soon at Scrap It Sassy.

Hope you enjoy the freebie!

Flower Button Freebies

Hi gang! Hope everyone has had a wonderful week! We've been busy little bees here, trying to get everything packed for our trip this coming week. For those of you who don't know, hubby and I had a temporary lapse of sanity and booked a cruise for the week of Thanksgiving. Ourselves....and ALL 3 kids. Not only a week on the ship with the kids, but also a 7 hour drive in hubby's car all the way to New Orleans and back. But it's OK, the kids will probably be strapped to the roof after the first hour so I can get that much needed rest before getting on the ship.

Seriously though, we're all really excited about going. Brooke will be 18 in February and I really wanted all of us to take this trip together before she graduates and is an adult. Because a family vacation just isn't the same when the kids are grown. And since she's going into linguistics and studying Spanish, I thought a trip to Cozumel and Progreso would be great for her. She's actually convinced her teachers not to count her absent while she's away. She has to do a small project, taking lots of pictures and then describing them to the class when she gets back, but she'll enjoy that so it really won't be like homework at all. I'm sure when she gets back she'll be showing pictures and talking about the trip to everyone who will listen LOL

The two younger ones are excited too. Carlee's teacher has been asking to go with us...LOL. We took them to get a haircut a couple of days ago, and did a bit of shopping for some cooler clothes since it's summertime weather in Mexico pretty much all year.

On the way to town, hubby frightened poor little Ally, and I'm sorry but I couldn't help it...I laughed til I cried. We were driving down the highway and a cop was traveling beside us, behind us, sometimes in front of us. We had to stop at a red light and the girls were in the back seat arguing, as usual. hubby told them they better behave because there was a cop beside us at the red light. They got quiet, I assumed to contemplate what would happen if they started slugging each other, we waited a few minutes on the light to change, then went on our way. A couple of minutes later we heard this little voice from the back seat say, "Can I get back up now?" Apparently Ally had hit the floor when daddy said something about a cop. Now I've just gotta figure out who has made her afraid of them....LOL

So, I will be out of town without internet access until November 29th or 30th, depending on if we decide to grab a hotel on the way home or if we make the entire drive on Saturday. So I've posted the freebies above for you to grab HERE. Hope you have fun with them! If you'd like to get the script to make your own larger elements to match your kits, you can get them at MemoryJunkies.com or at ScrapItSassy.com.

Everyone please have a wonderful and very safe Thanksgiving and I'll see you when we return!

Glitter Doodle Freebies

Today is homecoming at my kids' school. They have a pep rally, then a parade, then the game, and a dance afterward. And it's a cold, rainy day. Not cool, since the whole town gets involved in the celebration.

It rained all night but right now it's just a bit of drizzle and mist. Maybe we'll get lucky and it will move out before this afternoon. To make things worse, my Australian shepard is terrified of storms and every time it rains he just knows there will be thunder which will cause the earth to explode. So he finds a way out of the fence, because of course it's safer in the streets instead of being inside his nice, dry shed, then wonders around town to find somewhere to hide from the storm. (My neighbor called me during the last thunderstorm and said he had his nose pressed to the glass on their storm door begging to come in.) And if he gets out, his pet beagle has to follow him. So I spent all day yesterday chasing dogs around the neighborhood. Every time I put them in and fixed the fence they found another way out. So around 6 pm last night I got tired of all the mud wrestling and sprayed them down with the water hose and brought them in the house. Neither of them are used to being inside the house so we're making a lot of trips out on the leash. Hubby will be home tonight and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he can/will fix the fence. When you're married you just can't take these things for granted.

Anyway, in between chasing dogs and texting hubby in all caps, I did a bit of playing around in PSP and came up with another freebie for you. These glitter doodles are made from some glitter tiles that should go into the store at Memory Junkies within the next few days. I still haven't sold anything yet...lol. I have fun creating though, so it's all good. Just wish I could make enough profit to cover all the scraps that hubby says I waste money on. Can you believe that? Of course his Hercules Hooks that he just HAD to have and yet never opened aren't a waste of money. And neither are those stretcher things to put inside your shoes. He really needs to stop watching infomercials.

And now that we've finally sold the house, he's insisting on buying a bigger TV to go in the music room. I think I'll re-program the remote so it shows nothing but the Lifetime channel.

Hugs!

Snowflower CU PSP Script Freebie

Hi gang! I recently ran into Aunt Anne on a new google group, and she told me she thought I had joined the witness protection program. Well, I can tell you that I'm alive and well (um, it really depends on your definition of 'well'), so far, but if I disappear for a time it probably won't be witness protection. They normally don't want to protect those who spend way more time than is healthy on creative ways to make dh's life a living nightmare. The good news is I haven't acted on any of them. Yet. But he has been out of town most of the week so that's probably at least saved him from being locked in the closet and poked with a stick every once in a while.

Actually, hubby and I did end up buying my grandfather's house, and we spent all summer remodeling it. We finally moved in around the end of August and I've been spending all my time since trying to get everything caught up. We still have lots of boxes to unpack, but I'm thinking if we'd lived without it for this long, we don't need it. How does one family end up collecting so much STUFF?? I mean really, I found things packed into the backs of closets that has been there for years and never been used. What the hell does hubby need with a weight lifting suit? He bought the thing in high school and has probably never been to a gym in his life. What's he gonna do, wear it when the kids are using him for an interactive jungle gym?

So anyway, hopefully I can find the time and inclination to keep posting here. I've recently joined the designing team at Memory Junkies and I'm so excited about it! Most of my products will probably be scripts for PSP, but I'll try to toss in a kit or some CU items every so often. If you have any requests please let me know! Other than kits, what do you spend the most time searching for in the scrap shops? Leave a comment and let me know...it will help me bring you the items you really want :)

Here is a freebie CU script for you that I made a couple of days ago. I had to take a mental refresher course since the past 2 weeks has been the first time I've opened PSP in months. The colors on it can't be changed, because it took some time to figure out how to give the user that option and this script was done before I learned that lil gem. It should run fine in PSP versions X through X2, with an error message in X. Hope someone can use it! Once I find my disk for PSP9 I'll reinstall that version and use it for creating scripts. I hate for PSP9 users to miss out, but unless someone can fill me in on a secret, I don't know of anything I can do to change it until I reinstall version 9.

Download the script Here on Rapidshare -or- Here on 4Shared.

Mother Earth Kit

I recently joined a group called ScrapKit Challenge and I've gotta tell you, this group has really helped me to learn lots of new techniques in scrapping! Each month we're given a new theme and colors, and each Friday we have different parts of the kit due, such as papers, elements, etc. This results in a HUGE megakit each month! You can check them out at their yahoo group link above, or at the homepage at scrapkitchallenge.com. We also donate quickpages to combine into a mega-download for only $3.00 USD! This helps to cover the costs of the website. I'll post the link for it as soon as they have it up for March.

The theme for March was called 'Mother Earth' and you can snag my parts of the mega kit at the links below. Be sure to grab both parts to get all of it! Keep checking Scrapkitchallenge.com. You can download the megaKit for February, and the kit for March will be posted soon.

If you need more info on this group please let me know!

Alabama Snow, Help Wanted, and a Freebie....

We woke up to about an inch of snow this morning, which is VERY unusual here in north Alabama. The girls were outside playing in it before 8 am, which is a good thing because it didn't stick around very long at all. And today happened to be the day my camera decided to run out of juice. My luck . I put it on charge and it finally juiced up again at about noon....but by then the snow had disappeared. So I went to bed to take a nap, and slept all afternoon. So now all the things I needed to take care of today will hopefully get done tomorrow. I guess since it's the weekend my family will be OK going naked until I get some laundry done. It's supposed to be back in the 50's or 60's tomorrow anyway LOL

Staying inside all day leaves too much time for thinking. I was wondering if someone out there might be interested in using my scraps to make layouts or quickpages that I can use for previews and freebies? You would get the latest kits first, and if any of the kits are paid, you would get them first, for free. The quickpages would always be freebies, and you would also be able to post them on your own blog as long as you included a link back to here. If interested please drop me an email at TubnLittleKitty@aol.com. I'd love to see you include some samples of your past layouts/quickpages as well. The ideal person would be very trustworthy about not sharing the kits with others, and would also be outspoken enough to tell me when I need to add more items or improve the ones I've made LOL

Also, those of you who offer scrap freebies on your blog, please email me with a link if you'd like to be included in my links section here. I would love to dress up my blog a bit (not to mention grab some goodies while I'm at it), and I just haven't had much time for exploring blogs these days! Just looking for someone to make it easy for me! LOL

Anyway, I've included an add-on for the Adobe Straw kit below. These are some older papers and an element that I made a while back, and then couldn't find them when I started back working on this kit. Well, I just found them...LOL. As requested, it has been uploaded to both Rapidshare and 4shared. I prefer RS myself, since I keep a premium account there, but I have to admit that 4shared is much easier to download from if you aren't a paying member :)

Please comment if you snag it!

Enjoy!

I'm so excited.....

...I've worked on this for several days now and I finally had to stop. I just kept thinking of more and more things to add, and before I know it the damn thing was almost 90 MBs...yeesh!

This isn't my favorite kit that I've done, I guess because the colors I picked didn't look as great later as they did when I started working with them. Anyway, I hope someone likes this one and can put it to use.

Kit includes:

26 Papers

Adobe Hut and Wall

2 Clay Pots

5 Bows

5 Brads

5 Doilies

3 Doodads

1 Flower

8 Hat pins

5 Paper clips

5 Photo Prongs

5 Ribbons

5 Rivets

7 Tags

4 "Tin Cup" Bead Strands

1 unthreaded Bead Strand

2 Lace Ribbon Overlays

6 Large Frames

I think that about covers it! As always, please leave a comment if you snag! Feedback helps me know when you like it and when you don't, so that I can do better on the next kit!

Tax season....Ugh turns to Yay

Well our accountant finally finished our taxes and the news I've been dreading for so many weeks has actually turned into good news. We're getting a refund! Yay!

What makes this so amazing is that hubby and I both have jobs that don't take out taxes. Hubby is a sales rep and gets paid commission, and I own my own business so again, no taxes are withheld. Of course we both keep up with our expenses and mileage; hubby alone put almost 60,000 miles on his car in 2007. The downside is that we found out we aren't making any money...LOL. If we had known that the kids would save us so much money on our taxes I might not have gotten my tubes tied

Seriously though, we didn't know what to expect with the new business. We expected to have to pay in several thousand dollars, so you can imagine how happy we were to learn we were getting back several thousand. Now hubby and I can finally take that cruise...yippee!

So on the scrappy side of things, I've finally started work on another kit. This one is called Adobe Straw and I've uploaded the 5 papers shown below for you to snag. If you decide to share with others, please link to my blog instead of the rapidshare link. So far this kit contains 24 papers and I haven't started on the elements yet but I'm sure there will be lots of them!

Enjoy the papers and if you snag please leave a comment.

A New Home

I haven't opened PSP in months, maybe even a year or longer. Somehow I've lost the inspiration for creating, as I'm sure happens to everyone on ocassion. I'm hoping that moving my blog here will help me get back into the habit of posting, and eventually, creating. I've always used the excuse that I'm too busy, but in reality, that just doesn't fly. I have plenty of time to read, watch TV, play games online, shop, hit the tanning bed, etc. etc. But all those things like housework and laundry? I'm too busy! LOL

Somehow I've lumped PSP into the same category as work, and I really need to get out of that habit. I'm not sure why I've done so, because I've always enjoyed playing, but sometimes I just need a kick in the ass to get started. I know that once I open PSP, I'll be there for hours. And once again laundry will be piled to the ceiling and we'll have to kick shoes and toys out of the way just to walk to the kitchen. I don't see anything wrong with that, but for some reason it pushes hubby's Bitch Button

Anyway, here's a link to download one of my older kits. I would appreciate a comment if you snag.

Hugs!
