Finally....Day 30!!

Here it is gang....the 30th and final day! And amazingly I finished it in, what, about 40 days? I tell ya, things just never go like you expect them to.
Now what am I gonna do with my free time? Conserve internet usage, I guess, and work offline quite a bit on new graphics. Plus, since the new phone books have come out the phone has been ringing off the hook with customers who want estimates. So I guess I'll have plenty to do to stay busy. But it just won't be the same ::sniff sniff::

Ha...like I won't have anything to say. Me? Right. I've gotta have somewhere to complain about hubby, the kids, the employees, mom, and life in general. Doesn't everyone? If I held it all inside, it would just lie there and grow and fester, until one day hubby will wake up, roll over, his hand will accidentally brush against me....and I'll grab the noisy alarm clock that just won't stop ringing and beat the hell out of him with it. So see? Blogging is good for me. It probably isn't good for you to be reading it. But if I were seeing a therapist he would probably encourage me to keep blogging. And then he'd secretly remove all the alarm clocks from his office.

Grab today's final freebie Here on Rapidshare or Here on 4Shared. Hope you all have enjoyed collecting this one as much as I've enjoyed bringing it to you! Well, I haven't enjoyed all the internet trouble lately, but you know what I mean. I already have another mega kit in the works, I just haven't decided what I will do with it yet. Plus, Scrapkit Challenge has posted the new colors for April (oops, I missed the deadline for those darn papers), so I'll probably play around with those and toss something out here for you. So keep dropping by, you never know what you'll find or what I'll be bitching about :)

Day 28 of 30 Days of Freebies

Normally I love stormy weather but this is getting ridiculous. Storms all day, a couple of tornado warnings, I even heard that a large town just south of us called Cullman got hit with a tornado downtown today that caused quite a bit of damage. Maybe I'll go see for myself tomorrow. Would have gone today, but my priority was getting back online. Had to drive in the opposite direction for that...LOL.

My 7 year old got grounded from the Playstation today for the first time ever. Seems she thinks she can try on her older sister's attitude. Doesn't fit her too well...she stomped across the kitchen and then threw an empty cup across the room because I asked her to take it to the kitchen while she was busy playing the playstation. ANd I know from experience that the attitude will only get worse. And my 4 year old will have the biggest attitude of all. I'll keep you posted on whether or not the Playstation ends up in the closet for a while.

You can grab the papers above Here on 4Shared or Here on Rapidshare. Enjoy and please leave a comment.

HOPEFULLY I can get these posted. It's raining steadily with scattered storms here, and my internet connection keeps going out. But if I'd still had Wildblue I wouldn't be online at all, so who am I to complain? Oh yeah...a woman LOL

26 of 30 Days of Freebies

Hi gang. I'm finally back online. For a second, anyway. After going a day with dial-up speed and paying for high speed, and then going 2 days with absolutely NO connection at all, I called Wildblue and told them to disconnect it. NOW. They did, but apparently there are no guarantees that they will stop CHARGING me for it. I'm well past the length of my contract, so no problems there. I bought the equipment, so that isn't an issue. But apparently Wildblue isn't sure their computers won't keep charging my account for the service even though I no longer HAVE service with them. I'm telling you, this corporation has some PROBLEMS.

Anyway, I went this evening and got the wireless internet card from Verizon, but I may take it back and get one from another provider. Verizon limits me to 5 Gigs transfer per month, and I was going over on my Wildblue package of 17,000 MBs per month. If I go over on Verizon, it will cost 49 cents PER MB...that could get scary. I think that Sprint or Corr Wireless has an unlimited download on their card. If anyone knows of another company with unlimited downloads (NOT airtime) please let me know...I'm open for suggestions. I've only got 30 days to make up my mind about the Verizon card and then I'm stuck with it for 2 years. NOT GOOD if I can't use it.

So OK, I'm gonna post the rest of this kit for you. Hopefully I'll get it all up this evening, but if not, check back tomorrow. Figured I better get to it while I have internet access...LOL

You can grab the papers from Day 26 Here on Rapidshare or Here on 4Shared. Please leave a comment if you snag!

25 of 30 Days of Freebies...Getting Closer!

Hi gang...hope everyone had a great Monday. Is that even possible? I mean come on, first I have to wake up early after being able to be lazy for a couple of days. Then I have to rush the kids to get up get dressed eat breakfast brush your teeth wash your face where's your shoes don't forget your lunch get your jacket you're gonna be late what do you mean you can't find your backpack? And that's only the beginning. At 7:56 am the phone starts ringing off the hook with people who all want their house cleaned on Monday with no advance notice because they've been lazy all weekend. Imagine that.

And then I have to screen phone calls so I don't accidentally answer when Mom calls. Sheesh.

Add to that I'm still catching up on laundry, cleaning my own house because, of course, I've been lazy all weekend. And then I had to go get supplies and just had to buy some of those cute metal tubs in bright spring colors so I'd be better organized in the office with all of the equipment and supplies. So as soon as I get home I decide to go ahead and start organizing, which shouldn't take but an hour or so and ends up taking all frickin' evening. The more crap I found shoved down inside stuff, the more pissed I got. Can't employees EVER put anything where it belongs? Some of this crap I had given up on ever finding and went out and bought more to replace them. Like the cloth port-a-vac bags that cost $10 each. So then I decided to check the port-a-vacs to see if the bags needed changed, and found that 2 of them were so full that the hoses were completely stopped up. I had to straighten out a coat hanger to clean them out, which took another hour or longer. So now I'm tired and counting down the days til the weekend.

So anyway, today we finally start on papers! There are 3 full 12 x 12 papers for Day 25, shown in the preview above. I had to go back through and rename some of the folders because for some reason I had two Day 24's and was missing Day 29. I probably did those on the same day as the last time I tried to organize the office. You can grab today's papers Here on 4Shared -or- Here on Rapidshare.

OK OK...get your panties out of a wad. The 4Shared link has been fixed ;)~ pffffft

If you snag please leave a comment!

24 of 30 Days of Freebies

Hi gang, hope everyone had a great weekend. I think I finally got my computer set up with all the programs I want, now I've just got to find the software for my camera dock and my wacom tablet, which is much easier said than done.

I took a PC break for most of the day today and worked on laundry (no, it still isn't done yet) but we rented 7 movies yesterday and I tend to forget laundry is going when we pop in a movie. We just finished watching Beowolf...I did NOT know the damn thing was animated. The kids were already in bed and it felt weird for hubby and I to be by ourselves watching an animated movie. It was even weirder when I started drooling over Beowolf's naked animated ass. Hubby and I caught ourselves asking every few minutes, was that in the original story? I swear I don't remember most of that stuff, I don't even remember Grendel having a mother LOL. That's all I'm saying....you're just gonna have to watch it yourselves.

We had to go to my grandfather's house this morning and help sort through some things to be given away. They only had 2 kids...my dad and my aunt. My dad doesn't really want anything in there because they always go out and buy something when they need it, but my mom and aunt are an entirely different story. Every time Mom walks in that house she leaves with a truck load of stuff, trying to get it out before my aunt catches her. She acts like she's waited her entire life for my grandparents to pass away so she can get her hands on their things. And my parents are not, by any means, underpriviledged. There are 2 antique cherry bedroom suites and the dining room set is very old as well, and my aunt wants them all. So what does mom do? She made dad go out last night all the way to Huntsville and special ordered a very expensive new dining room suit. It makes me feel terrible every time I go over there...I left there in tears today biting my tongue to keep from saying anything and putting Dad in a worse position than he's already in. It's terrible to lose a loved one, but it's even worse to watch people who had been close to them use their deaths for their own personal gain. I guess I'm just not ready yet to see the things being carried away from a home that I grew up in on the weekends and through the summers. It does have to be cleaned out though...hubby and I are thinking about buying the house. It would be a HUGE commitment though. The house we live in now is paid for, so we'd have another house payment, but I just can't stand the thought of anyone else living there unless it's family. So maybe it's just me being selfish...I'm not ready for anything to change yet. My grandparents have lived in that house since my dad was born, and it's just always been theirs. Same docorations on the walls, mostly the same furniture except sofas and things that have to be replaced ocassionally. Losing my grandfather and watching them paw over his things has me missing my grandmother all over again as well. I try to stay away and let them do what they need to do, but then I feel bad for not helping them when I know it's a lot of work. But this is killing me...I really don't know how people hold up when it comes time to give everything away.

Anyway, on to a happier subject. Today's freebie is the tag set you see above, and tomorrow (I think) we start on papers, finally! The tag set isn't much, it was originally intended to be an IM stat set, but I didn't keep IM that long because I just couldn't go without my AOL (and why have both?). But I wasn't very good at making them anyway, and I needed one more freebie for this kit, so this is what you get...LOL. Hopefully someone can use it, maybe to make me a tag or something? LMAO

You can grab today's freebie on Rapidshare or on 4Shared. Please leave a comment if you snag :)

Day 23 of 30 Days of Freebies

Have any of you seen the movie I am Legend with Will Smith? That's one really weird movie and will make a lot of people panic when there's finally a cure for cancer. Just say no to a cure for cancer...it causes rabies.

And speaking of things really weird...today I had to place a member of PSP Scraphouse on moderated mail status for sending in ads for paid kits (we allow freebies only). She seemed to think this wasn't fair, even though she has been on the group for several months and we have to repeat this rule at least once per week, so she quit the group and said she would no longer allow her "freebies" to be shared on our group. I won't mention names here, but please be sure to read the designer's rules, no matter how weird they may be, before sharing freebies with your groups. People just continue to amaze me when they think they are above group rules. Of course it's ALWAYS the moderator's fault when these things happen. All we can do is keep repeating the rules and hope the members bother to read them. Even though 99% of the members follow them and really get tired of the ones who break them and cause it to be repeated endlessly.

Anyway, enough of my bitching. Today's freebie is the word art above. You can grab it Here on Rapidshare or Here on 4Shared. It is much clearer and larger than shown in the preview. Enjoy!

21 of 30 Days of Freebies

Does the pic above look stretched to anyone else? Maybe I've just been up too long. Or maybe I haven't gotten used to this monitor yet. It has a way better graphics card than my old PC, but it just makes me realize my graphics aren't that great...LOL

I have been putting off laundry for 2 weeks now. Last week was Spring Break, and since my oldest daughter Brooke was in trouble, she had to work on laundry all week. I seriously think she ended the week with MORE dirty laundry than she started with. Her manner of doing laundry is to keep turning the dryer back on until each load has been dried about 5 hours, and ends the day with one complete load done, if I'm lucky. So I've spent all day today, and will spend the entire weekend, working on laundry. Which means she gets to do the job she hates most...putting everything away. Which would have been my job if she had done it right in the first place.

Anyway, today's freebies are the tags in the preview. You can snag them Here on Rapidshare or Here on 4Shared. Don't forget to leave a comment! And Rebeca, no hard feelings...I was just picking. I do that a lot, according to my family.

20 of 30 Days of Freebies

Hi gang! I'm so sorry to be MIA, but I finally got my new computer. (YAY!) I ordered it from Dell on Tuesday of this week, and can you believe it arrived yesterday? If I had been in a hurry for the damn thing, it would have taken them weeks to get it here. So anyway, I've been transfering files from my old computer, trying to get programs installed, and customizing everything to make it all pretty. I did finally get my scrap files transfered but I haven't installed Winrar yet, so as soon as that's done and I can zip up files I'll catch up from the day I missed. I already had this one done since it will be the last one in the Overlays folder, but you'll have to wait on the others. I'll be sharing tags next, so be ready for those :)

And if you haven't already snagged the folders to help you organize this kit, you can grab them Here on Rapidshare or Here on 4Shared.

I love my new computer but I absolutely HATE setting it up. I could have made it easy and just transfered everything from the old computer over to this one, but there was so much junk on it that I just didn't want to clutter this one up. Kinda like moving into a new house, you have to bring some of your things that you just can't li ve without, but then you wonder WHY you still have that jumpsuit from the 1980's and those fake flowers that have turned brown from dust. Not to mention the boxes and boxes of junk that you always meant to put in a yard sale but never quite got around to it. I guess you know what I mean. So now I'm doing it the hard way and just moving a few things at a time. And the couple of programs I tried to tranfer didn't work right so I'll have to reinstall all my software anyway. But now I have plenty of ram and lots of room to install PSP, Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, and all those other goodies that you just can't live without. Anyone know what else is a must? I know there are lots of graphics programs out there that I've never tried, and I don't want to miss out on anything! LOL

Anyway, today's freebie can be downloaded Here on Rapidshare or Here on 4Shared. Feel free to share my blog link with others who might want to snag!

First of all, I have a personal message to Rebeca. Since I have no other way to contact her, this message will have to work on the honor system. So if you aren't Rebeca, kindly skip this paragraph and don't read it, K? Psst....Rebeca.....Day 17 comes right before day 18 :)~

Yesterday was my mom's birthday, and since the girls had ball practice yesterday evening, we took her out to eat tonight instead. I screwed up and told her she could pick the restaraunt, and she just HAD to choose the one place that I hate to eat. I like Mexican food, but not THAT Mexican food. Dangit. But they did fry up some ice cream for her and stuck a couple of candles in it. She's 29 and holding. And holding. And holding. Carlee asked me how come MeMe could be younger than me? Wasn't she my mom. So I told her MeMe was adopted. Problem solved.

Today's freebies are the frames shown above, and you can grab them on Rapidshare or 4Shared. These are large files, so be prepared for a longer download than the other freebies in Peachy Fantasy. Of course, my uploads are usually very slow, so it might download in under a minute, you never can tell. Those of you who are thinking about getting a satellite for high speed access, please stay away from Wildblue! Yes, the installation costs are a lot less than Directway or HughesNet, but like everything else, you get what you pay for. ANYway.....if you snag please be kind and leave a comment! I promise not to pick on anyone. Unless you're Rebeca. (LOL sorry Rebeca....couldn't resist :o)

Hugs!

Do any of you play in Poker tournaments? I joined my first tournament last night, and I guess I did OK, for my first time. I placed 242 out of over 2278. We each started out with 1500 chips, and at my table I soon had a little over $4000, then they switched my tables. At the new table I was the little fish in the pond, everyone else had over $10,000. I didn't like that. I was perfectly happy taking the money of people I had been getting along with. I was learning their habits, who only bet high when they were bluffing, and who didn't bluff. And then they screw it all up by making me play with a new set of strangers. So I made the best of it, and started learning these players, and just when I was starting to know a little about them, I got moved again. Now how fair is that? That's like telling your kids "What? You're actually learning something in school?? Well we'll have to put you in a different school and see if we can fix that."

Anyway, today's freebies are the overlays in the preview. You can grab them on Rapidshare or 4Shared. Please leave a comment if you snag!

17 of 30 Days of Freebies

Hubby's boss called, said they had to hit the road tomorrow. Hubby jumped up and started packing, and has been getting ready all afternoon and evening. I asked the lazy bum to take out the trash earlier, and he moaned and groaned that he was sick, he didn't feel good, blah blah blah. I've got a mind to call his boss back and tell him that hubby's on his death bed and won't be at work the rest of the week. Except that he hardly SOUNDED sick when his boss called him. I swear he's gotta be the biggest baby I know. He can lie around and whine, but he won't take medicine and he won't go to the doctor. Best I can figure is he just wants to make my life miserable. Next time he gets sick I'm gonna turn the tables on him. Make him babysit all day, that'll fix him. Especially if I wait until the kids are sick too.

Anyway, today's freebie is the elements in the sample to the right. You can snag them Here on Rapidshare or Here on 4Shared. This should complete your Peachy Fantasy Elements folder. If you need the folders you can snag them on Rapidshare or 4Shared. Please leave a comment if you snag them, and be sure to send your friends HERE to grab them...no hotlinking please!

Day 16 of 30 Days of freebies

Hope everyone had a great Easter yesterday. This freebie should have been posted on Easter, but, um, wasn't. My fault. Again.

Hubby is spending the day on the couch. He got sick last week, and didn't get to lie around and be babied like he usually is because of my grandfather's death. So he sucked it up and spent the last 3 days helping me and my family. I figured he'd be over the sniffles by now, but apparently he realized that he never got to be a baby, so today he's on the couch moaning and groaning. It's bad enough when he's really sick, but this is getting a bit ridiculous. But he's a man, so I guess it's to be expected. Never met a man that didn't turn into a baby at the first sign of a runny nose or sore throat. He's worse than the kids...at least with them I have to MAKE them lie on the couch. Normally the kids make a miraculous recovery about 10 minutes after the school bus has run in the mornings. And I spend the rest of the day telling them they better look sick or I'm taking them to school.

Anyway, you can grab today's freebie Here on Rapidshare or Here on 4Shared. Be sure to send your friends here so they can grab them too!

15 of 30 Days of Freebies

So sorry this is late, but here are the buttons for Day 15. You can snag them on Rapidshare -or- 4Shared. I've resized them for the preview (duh) but some of these are really big, hence the larger file size.

The funeral was beautiful. So many people sent flowers, and there were several blankets sent to the family as well. I let everyone else claim the blankets, but I wanted a couple of the plants that were sent. I don't know why, because all of my houseplants die for some reason. Mom said they needed water, can you believe that?? I guess you learn something new each day. Maybe I can actually keep these alive for a while.

Anyway, I'll be posting another day of freebies in a sec, so hang tight!

13 of 30 Days of Freebies

Gonna keep this short again tonight as it's been a very long day here. My grandfather lost his long battle this morning and passed away at about 10 am. The family had been with him throughout most of the night. He had been in a nursing home for several months, and has been going downhill fast all week. They sent him back to the hospital yesterday, and he never regained consciousness. I know he's better off now, but I will miss him. We lost my grandmother on Halloween in 2004 and he just hasn't been the same since then.

I will try to keep the freebies posted over the next few days, but if I fall temporarily behind, I'll catch them up as soon as I can. Today's freebie is the lower case of the second alpha of Peachy Fantasy. You can snag it Here on Rapidshare or Here on 4Shared. If you haven't already done so, please grab the folders of this kit on Rapidshare or on 4Shared. You should have all the items for the Alpha folder and the Ribbons folder. Tomorrow we will start on the Elements. I've included a sneak peek of the buckles that you will get tomorrow.

Enjoy!

12 of 30 Days of Freebies

Today I had 10 interviews scheduled every 30 minutes from 10 AM until 3 PM. They went very well...all two of them. I couldn't believe that only 2 people showed up. Of the 2 that did show, one of them forgot to bring her brain, and the other brought a girlfriend and her 3 kids. To an interview. Hopefully tomorrow will be better, I have about 12 more scheduled, so we'll see how many of them actually show.

I deliberately schedule these in a small town office that belongs to my Dad. It's a couple of turns off the main highway, and the fact that they can follow directions to find the place tells me a LOT as to what kind of employee they will be. The job requires them to find homes based only on written directions, and trust me when I say that the ones who call every 5 minutes because they can't read a street sign do NOT last very long. I just don't have the patience for them. I have too many things going on to stay on the phone with an employee who gets lost 6 times a day. It happens occasionally, and it's no big deal if they have to call every once in a while, but when someone just can't follow simple directions, they're better off with a different job.

Anyway, I'm keeping it short and sweet tonight (well, for me anyway) because I have another long day tomorrow. Today's freebie is the upper case of the 2nd alpha in Peachy Fantasy. You'll get the lower case tomorrow and then, well, I'm not sure what comes next. I'm too tired to remember. Anyway, download today's freebie on 4Shared or Rapidshare.

Enjoy!

11 of 30 Days of Freebies

Today I was reminded of why hubby and I had kids. It's for the entertainment. If you ever forget the fun of raising kids, just go to a T-ball game.

This is our 4-yr old's first year to play ball, and today was her first practice. She has 2 coaches, a man and a woman. Ally got to meet the woman first because she was the 'bat coach'. She helped to show them how to stand when they went up to bat, and how to swing the bat without giving the coach a serious skullache. Anyway, when it was Ally's turn to bat, I could hear her chattering all the way to the plate, telling her coach where she got her shoes, and her helmet, her bat, her glove, etc. etc. She's like her mom ::QQn innocent:: and is never quiet. Anyway, that coach worked with her a little while on batting, and then she sent her to get her glove and go out into the field with the other coach, who was showing them how to stand and how to catch the ball.

Let me say here that I noticed right off the bat that Ally has only 2 fielding positions. In Position One she's leaning over with her glove all the way on the ground, waiting patiently for a ball to be hit her way and roll neatly into her glove, and in Position Two she's standing with her glove hand in the air as far as she can reach, waiting patiently for a ball to be hit in the air and land neatly in her glove. All during practice she alternated between these 2 positions, changing only when her arm or back became tired. Well, the coach noticed that she only had 2 positions, and he went to help her. I couldn't hear their conversation from the sidelines, but I saw him lean down to talk to her, stand back up, walk around to the other side of her, bent down, and talked some more.
After a few minutes, he yelled to the sidelines, "Hey, what's this one's name? She won't tell me!" So of course the other coach and all the parents got a good laugh out of that. She's 4, and let me tell ya, she has the biggest attitude of all my girls, and may even put ME to shame. She has one of those looks that will insure that no boys will get close to her without her permission. And she will tempt them too, with those big blue eyes and those platinum blonde curls.

I scrapped some pics of them this evening, using papers and elements from a new kit I've been working on called Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream. The first one is our oldest, Brooke, the second one is our 7 yr. old Carlee, and the last one is our youngest, Ally.

Today's freebies are the doodads to go with the 2nd alpha in Peachy Fantasy. You can snag them Here on Rapidshare or Here on 4Shared. Please leave a comment, and send your friends here to grab them. Hope you enjoy playing with them, and if you make any layouts from them please link me to them so I can see how you've used them!

Enjoy!
